Matt Malmsheimer joined the firm in 2005 after serving as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Jack L. Landau on the Oregon Court of Appeals.  In his years at the firm, Matt has honed his legal advocacy skills to a laser focus and he prides himself developing concise, focused legal arguments that cut to the quick of his opponents’ efforts.  Matt represents individuals, small businesses and small public entities to successfully navigate and resolve their individual challenges.  Matt splits his advocacy between both plaintiff and defense cases, which allows him to better advance his client’s position by better understanding the strength and weaknesses of the other side’s case.  He is tenacious when representing his clients and always seeks the most efficient and effective means to advance their interests.  When not at work, Matt enjoys taking advantage of Oregon’s natural wonders with his wife and son, whether that is drift boating on the John Day or Grande Rhonde, fly-fishing for red sides on the Deschutes or camping and hiking at the coast or in the mountains.
